Planning a coilover conversion on your 2013 through 2018 Ram 1500 and want lift at the same time? This kit handles both in one package. Bilstein struts and shocks do the damping work. Purpose-built springs, mounts, isolators, and spacers handle the lift geometry. The result is three inches of lift in the front and one and a half inches in the rear. That combination produces the leveled and lifted stance most Ram 1500 owners want without overcorrecting the rear or creating the nose-down appearance that front-only lift kits sometimes produce on this platform.
At McClain Auto Part, we carry this kit because it pairs Bilstein’s damping quality with a lift and conversion system that addresses the full suspension picture. The kit fits 4×4 and 2WD configurations and covers all trim levels including the Rebel. It also fits the 2019 and 2020 Ram 1500 Classic with the five-bolt wheel configuration. Confirm your wheel bolt pattern if you are working with a Classic application before ordering.
What Is Included
This is a complete lift and conversion package. Every component needed for the front and rear suspension work comes included.
Front Suspension Components
Bilstein front struts are the foundation of the front suspension upgrade. Bilstein’s monotube damper design delivers consistent performance across a wider range of operating temperatures than twin-tube alternatives. For a truck that splits time between daily highway driving and occasional trail use, that consistency translates to a composed front end in both environments.
Front coil springs match specifically to this lift application. Spring rate selection determines whether a lifted truck rides well or rides harshly. Generic lift springs that prioritize height over rate matching produce a jarring ride over road imperfections. The springs in this kit work with the Bilstein strut valving and the target lift height as an integrated system.
Front upper strut mounts replace the factory mounts as part of the conversion. Upper strut mounts are a wear item on high-mileage Ram 1500 trucks. Replacing them during a lift and conversion project makes practical sense. New mounts at the correct geometry for the lifted height produce better steering feel and front-end composure than running factory mounts at a height they were not designed for.
Front upper control arms correct suspension geometry at the new ride height. The factory upper control arms run out of their effective geometry range at three inches of lift. Replacement arms designed for the new ride height maintain proper camber curve, caster, and ball joint angles through the full suspension travel range.
Upper strut spacer is included where the specific application requires it. Some Ram 1500 configurations need a spacer at the upper strut mount location to achieve proper geometry. The kit includes this component rather than leaving the installer to source it separately.
Optional front coil spring covers are available as an add-on. They are recommended for trucks used on gravel roads or off-road trails. Spring covers protect the coil spring surface from rock chips and gravel impact that accelerates corrosion on exposed spring steel. For a daily driver on paved roads they are a nice addition. For a truck used regularly on unpaved surfaces they are a practical investment in spring longevity.
Rear Suspension Components
Standard rear coil springs or plus-35-percent rate springs provide the rear lift and support. Standard rate springs deliver the one and a half inch rear lift with a ride quality focused tune suitable for lightly loaded daily driving. The plus-35-percent rate springs suit Ram 1500 owners who carry loads regularly or want a firmer rear feel for towing. Select the spring rate that matches how the truck is actually used.
Rear coil spacers work with the rear springs to achieve the target rear lift height. They are engineered specifically for the 2013 through 2018 Ram 1500 rear coil configuration.
Bilstein rear shocks complete the rear suspension upgrade. Matching the front Bilstein damper quality with Bilstein rear shocks ensures consistent damping characteristics across the full suspension system. Mixing quality dampers up front with budget shocks in the rear produces an unbalanced ride that better matched systems avoid.
Rear isolators prevent coil spring noise and maintain proper spring seating at the new ride height. Their absence produces spring chatter that becomes noticeable quickly on daily-driven trucks.
Fitment and Compatibility
2013–2018 Ram 1500
This kit fits all 2013 through 2018 Bilstein lift kit Ram 1500 trucks in both 4×4 and 2WD configurations. All trim levels are compatible including Rebel, Laramie, Longhorn, and Limited. The Rebel uses a factory-tuned suspension package with different spring rates and shock valving from standard configurations. This kit is specifically confirmed to fit the Rebel application. That is not always the case with Ram 1500 lift kits targeting standard configurations only.
2019–2020 Ram 1500 Classic
The 2019 and 2020 Ram 1500 Classic uses the DS body platform continued into the DT generation transition period. This kit fits the Classic application with one specific requirement. The Classic must be equipped with the five-bolt wheel configuration for this kit to fit correctly. Confirm your wheel bolt pattern before ordering if your truck is a 2019 or 2020 Classic.
4×4 and 2WD Applications
The kit fits both 4×4 and 2WD Ram 1500 configurations within the fitment window. Confirm your specific drivetrain when ordering to ensure the correct front component specification ships with your kit.
Why This Kit Makes Sense
Combining a coilover conversion with a lift in one kit saves time and money compared to completing the two projects separately. Pulling the front suspension apart once to install both the conversion components and the lift hardware is more efficient than separating them into sequential projects.
The integrated engineering also ensures that the conversion components and lift geometry work together rather than combining independently sourced parts that may not interact correctly. That matters on a daily driver where steering feel, tire wear, and long-term suspension durability depend on geometry precision.
Bilstein damper technology is used across motorsport and performance vehicle applications globally. For a Ram 1500 owner who wants a lifted daily driver that still handles predictably on the highway and composedly on the trail, this kit delivers that balance without requiring a compromise between lift height and ride quality.
Before You Order
Confirm your model year, drivetrain, trim level, and wheel bolt pattern before reaching out. Select your preferred rear spring rate based on how the truck is used. If your truck sees regular off-road or gravel use, add the optional front coil spring covers to your order.
